Setup in short
- Rent the extension in the Shopware Store (30-day free trial), install and activate it.
- Open Settings › Extensions › Stapelo – the setup wizard starts on the first visit.
- Connection: the shop connects itself to the Stapelo service on installation – no API key needed. Step 1 shows “Connected ✓”; otherwise the cause and “Try again”.
- Cartons: choose from the catalogue or create your own.
- Pallet: pallet type, maximum total height, interlayers, stretch film.
- Shipping: set the parcel threshold, mark the shipping methods for parcels and pallets – the wizard creates the rules. Shipping coverage shows whether every count has a price.
- Product data: add missing dimensions and weights (also by CSV).
- Run a test calculation.
- Warehouse: give users the permission “Stapelo packing station”; it is under Orders › Stapelo packing station.
Requirements: Shopware 6.7 (from 6.7.2), PHP 8.2+, product dimensions and weights maintained, recommended a permanent message queue worker (bin/console messenger:consume).
FAQ
Does Stapelo change my shipping costs?
No. Stapelo provides the number of parcels and pallets as rule conditions; you set shipping methods and prices in Shopware.
Do I need an API key?
No. On installation the shop connects itself to the Stapelo service; key and access data stay in the shop and are never shown.
Is personal data transferred?
No. Only product data is sent (number, dimensions, weight, quantity, Stapelo fields) – no addresses, no order numbers, no customer data.
What if the service cannot be reached?
The checkout continues with an adjustable estimate by weight; the order's pack plan is calculated automatically later.
What if a product has no dimensions?
Then the estimate by weight applies. The wizard lists such products; you can complete them by CSV.
Large orders do not fit into the cart?
By default Shopware allows at most 100 pieces per cart line item (Settings › Cart, core.cart.maxQuantity). Raise it for large quantities; the wizard points this out.
Warehouse users see “Missing permissions: system_config:read”?
This message comes from the Shopware core (request core.basicInformation when the administration loads) and does not limit the packing station.
Does the packing station change the order status?
No. “Packed” is Stapelo's own status; the Shopware statuses stay unchanged.
What happens on uninstall?
In the shop: with “keep data” everything stays; without it, Stapelo removes everything it created (shipping methods are never deleted, dependent methods are deactivated). At the Stapelo service: the plugin reports the uninstallation and the service deletes the shop's settings, cartons, pack plans and access 30 days later. Installing the plugin again with the kept data within these 30 days cancels the deletion.
How do I cancel?
In your Shopware account in the Shopware Store (monthly).
